I use the standard easy valve bags most of the time too. I average 5-8 total bags depending on quality, how many times I re-grind, and temperature. If I plan on making cannabutter then I'll use less bags depending on how strong I want my butter.:hippy:
I have a 'classic' so I make my own bags to size, so it depends on the bag size.
Usually I have a 3ft bag - sometimes a little more but no less than 3ft or about 1 metre.
Over time I have found that bigger bags are better as you get more time to get a good airflow going. Usually I get 3 bags as I dial up the temp as I go, usually finishing at about 7 on the dial.
A 1M/3ft bag is also a great party-bag as you can pass it around a few friends and everyone get a 'lung-full' :thumbsup:
If you are vaping on your own remember you can exhale back into the bag as you don't absorb all the vapour in one go anyway. Do this a few times and you have a super-recycler. This is something you can ONLY do with bag vapes, it kicks the crap our of whip-style vapes for this reason alone imho.
Try exhaling the first 2 full draws you make - straight back into the bag. Then exhale the rest normally. With a 3ft bag I get 3 full draws and usually breath the first 2 back in - so I actually get 5 vapour hits from one bag.
Try it - you might be surprised! Just don't eat any garlic beforehand...
I like your idea Delta. I never thought twice about trying to exhale back in the bag. I know you mentioned that you get 5 hits with this method from the 3ft bag. Oddly enough I also get 5 hits with just my standard easy valve bag. I have finished bags off in 3 hits but that's only if I'm in a hurry.:hippy:Quote:

Oh yeah, first 3 hits or so go right back into the bag. I don't even clear my throat, just keep the bag to my lips and blow right back in. You don't want to do it too much and get the Co2 levels too high in the bag, but a few hits and it's all good.Quote:

I had my volcano for over 2 years before it dawned on me that I could breathe back in the bag.
I was sitting there exhaling and watching all this lovely vapour catching the sunlight and then thought ZOMG! I'm breathing out the good stuff!
I kicked myself for not working this out sooner.
It does work but you just need to go easy, don't let the CO2 build as t00fatt mentioned and watch the water vapour too - you will see some in the bag, usually the next bag clears it and I haven't had any problems overall. You can always take a few lung-fulls of non-vape vanilla air in between your hits to be sure.
I'm not sure how much vapour is 'lost' when you exhale but the fact that you can see it means it must be a reasonable amount. Recycling back into the bag gives you a one-man vapour hotbox :D
