when to feed after transplant
there is surely an answer to this somewhere out there and maybe it's common sense, but my contacts hate me from all the reading and i'm processing too much as it is:
i fed the girls before their transplant into fresh ocean forest (which burned them as seedlings). wanting to not burn the fresh roots growing into their new home, can i start dilute feeding right away or do i need to wait a while and let the plants eat off their new digs?
i don't even know if i asked that the right way......
and don't call me surely.

I use a little root stimulator after each transplant......http://boards.cannabis.com/advanced-...me-answer.html

Fertilome, nice.
Do you mean that the soil has nutes in it, and you do not want to feed them until they use up all of those nutes?
If that is the ?, wait just give them some water, maybe fertilome, in a small, small dose.
I never give and other nutes if my soil has some in it, not until they show signs.

yeah, like the core of the soil bag is the original root ball that has had all the nutrients used from it and it was transplanted into a nutrient rich environment.
so, outside layer doesn't need nutes and inside layer does.
who wins? should i continue the feeding schedule and risk burning the new roots or just use plain water and give the old roots nothing??
tonight is watering night, guess we'll see......
when to feed after transplant
I fertilize the watering right before I transplant.... then I give the plant 1 deep watering with no fertilizer after the transplant...when the rootball dries out (4-5 days later) then I will fertilize the new soil

I don't use ferts after transplanted until I see def. signs. I transplanted my moms and fed then with nutes and almost burned up a mom. They haven't had any nutes for over a month and still look completely healthy.
