Weird orange flash

This is probly gonna sound crazy, but it actually happened, and its not cause I was baked cause the first time this ever happened was years ago before I even knew what getting baked meant, and the second time was a couple days ago (and I haven't smoked any for almost 2 weeks since my parents found out :( )

Anyway, the first time 'it' happened was when me and my best friend were sitting in his room playing Ghost Recon (I think, might have been the second one...). It was on a loading screen and out of nowhere I just saw a bright orange flash and that was all I could see. It only lasted a fraction of a second, and then everything was back to normal so I thought it was just me and was gonna let it go but my friend asked me if I saw that. It was WAY to bright to have come from the TV (it basically blinded me and it was the ONLY thing I could see). No one else in the house saw it but us.

Then, a couple days ago, the same exact thing happened, except I was alone and on my laptop in my room. I can't remember what site I was on or anything like that (at the time, I pretty much left it go like I was about to the first time). But again, it couldn't have come from the screen. Now that I've started thinking about it, I really want to know what it was...

I know it sounds completely crazy, but any ideas? Anything similar ever happen to anyone else?

it sounds like there might be an issue with your retina, vitreous gel, or possibly a vitamin deficiency... I suggest you see an optometrist just in case. You never know when it comes to your eyes, one of the most important organs! Good luck!

Did both these occurrences happen during the daylight hours? If so, you may have been sitting next to a window and the glare from a passing care may have shone sun in your eyeballs momentarily.

something simalar happened to me and a workmate a couple of years ago but it wasn't an orange flash it was bright white, the only way i can describe it was like a full beam headlight being flashed but we was in a stairwell with only a sky light,with noone else in the building this was in a large derilect building with no electricity, useally you can find some sort of explaination, but me and my workmate couldn't find any logical reason, really freeked us out, i continued to work in this building for the next 18 mths and i was allways first there on my own because i had to unlock and every morning had to walk past this stairwell to unlock the fire escape to the car park, it allways felt cold and like i was being watched, use to shit me up. in your case both times you were useing a screen so maybe there was a reflection but after what i saw and felt i wouldn't rule anything out

I doubt its something with my eyes, as it happened to both me and my friend at the same time (the first time anyway. I guess it's a possibility the second time since I was alone). Plus, it only happened twice in around 4 years (I'm guessing, I can't remember how long ago the first time was but it was a few years).

This was the only reasonable explanation me and my friend could think of at the time, but it really didn't seem realistic. From his window to the nearest road is probably a good 100 feet away at least. The second time in my room my blinds are close though, and from the level of the road and my blinds, its probably impossible (or at least nearly impossible) for a reflection from a car to be directed at me. And I'm usually facing away from the window (though I can't be sure I was at the time).

Weedmaster: My friend is real big on UFOs and stuff. I can't say that I don't think outer worldy beings exist, but I don't think that was was caused it (but then again there's no way to prove it either way). But I do believe in spirits (not really ghosts, but just spirits), and I can say that most likely there are spirits roaming both me and my friends houses. We both live right beside a graveyard (he lives on one side and I live on the other. It's actually nice living beside one, its peaceful. I like taking walks through it at night, VERY relaxing :) ), and from your description (cold, being watched) I wouldn't doubt there are spirits there (of course, not everyone will agree depending on others beliefs, but it's just my opinion.) Whether or not this would be an explanation, I don't know, but like the UFOs thing, it can't really be proven true or false

I've had this experience a few times, usually ripped and meditating, but not always. I've had it a couple of times ( once laid down in a bath, once sitting here at my computer) straight, and the light for me actually seemed to come from behind and slightly above me. A flash that does actually seem to illuminate in front of me, so it's not just internal.

I remember a Met Cop I knew who was sitting on a train and he was blinded by an intense light for a couple of seconds. Plenty of reasons it could have happened on a moving train, but he said it was exceptionally intense and there was no sun that day. It was a long time ago, but I think he said that other's in the carriage saw it too.

Haha despite how crazy this sounds, you're right... Shifts in electromagnetic energy can cause some crazy things, as far as perception, consciousness, and even physical symptoms (i.e. "I could feel a presence in the room"). This might also be manifested through a bright flash. Not sure. If it happens more than 5 times in a few years, I'd be concerned and see an optometrist. Just in case. But if it's a very sporadic thing, I wouldn't worry about it :)
