how do we make cali step up???
Californians voted in MMJ, yet our state gov. allows the feds to arrest its citizens - who are only abiding by state law. what would happen if our state
officials simply said no more---if you try to screw with a californian in california-- you will find your ass in a state ran jail. it sounds so simple, can some one tell me why we let the feds continue to trample on our state?

Start a push for 10th Amendment rights. Its obvious none of us are going to get any help from the federal level so the time is definitely ripe for our 10th Amendment souvereignity. The feds have no legal authority over the states and its time to prove it.

I honestly don't understand people in Cali. Y'all vote overwhelmingly for democrats but than complain that your state sovereignty isn't being upheld. You mismanage your own resources and feel Texas should step up and share their energy with you. I'm not saying your are one of these California residents, but this post is directed at the vast majority of the states citizens.
Nearly all democrats, as well as a lot of republicans now support big government! Why do people not take this into consideration during elections?
I have noticed a lot of California residents bitch about their MMJ places being raided by the feds, yet support other federal actions that are also out of the federal governments jurisdiction. This is what happens when a centralized government seizes to much power, they become tyrannical and arrest cancer patients. And yes, Bush did the same exact crap!
Hell, we just had the Fed Supreme Court overturn an Arizona Supreme courts ruling. The Feds have said Arizona can't search a suspects car after he has been arrested unless they get a search warrant. I personally think it may be a positive thing, it would certainly help peaceful pot smokers, but they have no goddamn jurisdiction to overturn what the state ruled. It was up to Arizona to decide the issue which they did. The federal court had not right to tell them anything about it!
This shit is pissing me off more and more each day.
You can't make exceptions for when it's ok for the federal government to overstep their enumerated powers. Simply because we may like a decision or two doesn't mean we should support it if they never had a constitutional right to make said decision in the first place. When Americans sit back and say, "Well, I agree with that, if the state wasn't going to do it, than we need big brother to enforce positive change," you are only laying groundwork for a tyrannical government to evolve.
It isn't enough to simply oppose the laws and edicts the federal government hands down that we dislike, we must fight against every law, good and evil, positive and negative, that are unconstitutional. If the laws we overthrow on a federal level were supported by the states, they will be implemented again on the state level.
Simply as an afterthought, one particular instance of the feds overstepping the constitution, is their interference in oil drilling. It's up to the state to do with it's resources what it wants. If a state wants to drill for fucking oil, it's their own prerogative!
And yes, as the previous poster has said, fight for the tenth amendment, Texas sure as hell is.

^ I agree, but its not just Californians. I read a paper one time called The Stealth Revolution that talked about this same thing. Their quote was "We are all federalists now . . . except when we are not." :D

in my thoughts it seems that most of them are only concerned about 2 things MMJ and gay rights. while more or less ignoring or just not caring about other more important issues. i my self was like that at one time all i cared about decrimmalization but this one issue led me to relizing that there is a whole shit load of things i should care about and may just be more important.
