Consult a Doctor?? Please Help

A week ago, my friend who sells weed and smokes all the time gave me a 1/8 of kush. He was sleeping downstairs on my couch so I went upstairs in my attic and took the water bottle bong I made. Now I'd never smoked before other than second hand smoke here and there. Anyway, I had almost a normal size bowl in the socket wrench and I didn't have a lighter so I was using those long lighter sticks. I think butane got in the bong because after about like 10 hits I was feeling really dizzy and forgot to like the stick and just let the gas flood inside. I lit up held it in like my friends do for like 3/4 seconds but I wasn't feeling the high they described. I almost passed out so I drank some water then went back in the attic. As soon as I lit it I just started inhaling all the smoke in I don't know if used the carb that i made correctly. I kept hitting it the same way so I thought I was doing it wrong so I felt like I was having the worst nightmare and I couldn't breath or see. I took like 10 more hits until I had smoked the 3/4 of the weed. I looked at the bong water and it was all black and ash inside of it. I was so high I couldn't get out of the attic. I started banging on the door and on the floor but my friend didn't wake up. I got thirsty so I drank the bong water. I was tripping bad I threw up everywhere and couldn't breath but felt like my heart beat pulsing through my whole body. I don't know how but I got out of the attic. I forced my self not to pass out after I finally could breath some fresher air but I was tripping bad for realistically like 2 hours. My body would feel on fire and then feel freezing. I could barely breath and noticed something funky with my heart the rest of the day.

The last couple days its been hard to think and lately I have a hard time sleep because I have this really intense heart beat and a burning sensation in my lungs and I think I'm dying and have lots of intense anxiety. I notice my heart beat randomly throughout the day?

I read that if you inhale a large amount of butane it causes frostbite in the lungs.

I just want to be able to enjoy weed like my friends do and smoke with them comfortably. Please Help THANKS!!!!

Yeah, I would go see a doctor if you heart is still racing and your lungs are burning. Did you read about the effects of inhaling butane before you actually noticed the symptoms. I suppose it could be psychosomatic if you were paranoid about having accidently inhaling it and than reading the effects of doing so. I would go see a doctor though.

The only way I could see a lot of butane getting in the bottle though is if you were pointing it directly into the bowl without it being lit. If you had coated the contents of the bowl with it, would it have caught on fire? (I'm talking ball of fire...)

At one point I thought I was breathing fire but that could have quite possibly been the butane coated on the bowl after being lit.

About 45 minutes after I finally got out of the attic I called my 2 best friends and told them I got high and what I was feeling they started saying things like they called the ambulance and the paramedics were coming. They were joking but it freaked me out because they said they were serious again and then kept playing with me like that. I hung up and had like an anxiety attack. I started to feel this burn when I sometimes took a breath and thought I was dying. Then after I could breath regularly without throwing up I could think clearer and started to read the effects of butane and how cirrhosis eventually kills you from smoking the plastics in a plastic water bottle bong. Then I felt nauseous and more anxious because I thought the ambulance was coming and tried not to think of my burning lungs and my heart by listening to music.

I didn't break up off the roots could that be the reason for the lung burn?

I want to be able to eventually smoke with my friends and enjoy it like they do.

You probably threw up because you drank the bong water... I missed that the first time reading your post. Smoking out of plastic bottles isn't healthy, I suggest you get a glass piece or some papers.

I could see it causing your throat to burn, but not your lungs. If you are the slightest bit worried go see a doctor though. If for nothing else some peace of mind. :jointsmile:

Sounds like you had a big old anxiety attack. We've all had them. The first time I had one I was on a date and the car battery died. We were on a back road somewhere smoke in fat one. They got out and went and stole a battery for the car from somewhere....left me in the car. I was freaking!!!!! Every noise was amplified and I was jumping at shadows. Didn't smoke again till I was about 19...

The burning the lungs sounds like you might have hyperventilated a bit.

Do get yourself a glass piece of some kind, they just seem to smoke better to me.
