Thought I'd be clean by now. FAILED.. test SOON!!

So my story goes as this, I have been a on/off daily smoker for the past year or so and just graduated college and am currently about to take a Pee test for a new job and taking an Airforce drug test quite soon (tomorrow!). In December I started cutting back and went three weeks clean and then was just smoking on say a friday/saturday weekend thing up until this past St. Pattys weekend. I was calling it quits that weekend and in the spirit of festivities we smoked about a half O of mids that weekend. so the last time since I have smoked was March 15th 11pm.

I am 5'11 160lbs athletic build and exercise 2-4x/week so I thought I would be clean quickly. However, I bought strips online and have been failing them up until April 3rd which was when I got my first EXTREMELY faint line and thought it was up and up from there ... I was scheduled to take the MEPS test tomorrow and so I took my last strip test today at 10pm est. and failed outright (NO LINE!!), so I am going to reschedule my test day but im afraid it will only delay me a couple days, plus next week I have an employment one as well.

I was thinking I would be clean long before 24 days but am worried now about the upcoming tests. WTF is wrong with me and is my BEST option to start working on the dilution method? Am I approaching the timeline to at least getting clean? I really need to pass ... (as do we all) but am just beginning my process of "clean knowledge",
