I've got a couple of CFLs and wondered how i can put them in place. I've seen people use table lamps and put it in place but it seemed stupid. The best way seems to be having a long wired plug-in socket.
Where do i buy them?

look for work lamps, they are basically just a long cord connected to a socket, and it has a reflector with a clamp to hold it
go to any hardware store, buy porcelain lamp sockets ... look for the 'old-style' white porcelain bulb sockets, for sticking up on ceilings ... wire them together yourself, pretty simple ... save lots of $$$ this way, if doing multiple lamps ... the one pictured, is available online for $2.09 apiece, and, handles 250volts, 660watts, just to illustrate it's economy ...

Those look awesome reaper! I'm gonna try and get some myself.
Get the kind I got. home depot or lowes there a buck fourty nine.
its a socket but u just get an extension cord and screw it on to it. Then you can hang the extension cord and you got yourself a hanging light( or 7 depends on how many you tap into the extension cord)
ooh I forgot to mention... If you want to put as many as 3 in, at Lowes they have a 22" bathroom installment that holds three bulbs. Like mike said you can just cut an extension cord and screw it together. If you check my grow log it shows how to do it (not trying to thread jack just too lazy to repost the pictures)
Don't forget to pick up Y splitters. Get 3 Y splitters for every socket, and you can put 4 cfl's into one socket. Less wiring and more light is always a good thing
ooh I really need something like that. I could probably get them at any hardware store right?Quote:
