Hi can anyone tell me if the size of a plants container will affect its end yield. I currently use 13cm by 13cm pots, vegging for 3 to 4 weeks and getting a end result dry of around 20 grams average. If i use a bigger pot will my end yield increase. Also has anyone else heard about using a sprayer with normal fizzy water in to spray on plants and that puts loads of Co2 in the room. Just heard of it as a cheap method. Chris
I'm not sure about the techinque you described, but as for the pots size, the bigger you go, the bigger they can grow.

the yield is related to the size of the root ball, yes ... bigger pot, bigger roots, bigger yield ... the 'fizzy water' doesn't really help anything, I tried it, quit it ... waste of money ... if growing in a small cabinet, you can mix water, sugar and yeast, in a bottle, with a small hole in the cap, for some CO2 ... also, no visible improvement :wtf: ... regardless, the 'experts' say adding CO2 only has a significant effect on the plants, IF 'everything else is perfect' ... it's the last step in perfecting the garden ... good growing ! :smokin:
Nice one that helps alot. I just couldnt find any info on it. I tried the yeast and sugar thing. If i got a 2 litre bottle full of warm water how much sugar do i put in and how much yeast? Kind regards. Chris
If you have ant, gnat or roach problems, (or any other bug) I'd avoid spraying your growroom with anything sugary.
When you spray with tonic water, seltzer water, carbon dioixide concoctions...or anything else made with sugar, the overspray dries to a nice crust on you panda film, walls, bulbs, pots... (can scratch the plastic trying to clean it)
If overused, (or not gently rinsed-off with properly ph'd water) the sugars and other crap in the water can clog the pores in the leaves.
Vegging longer in larger pots will (if raised properly) increase yield.
Never used CO2, so no personal insight there. But I'd learn to walk before attempting to run. :jointsmile:
this is my 9th crop and all turned out well so not new to it. And i dont know what your on about i dont spray sugary water on my plants. Fizzy water from the supermarket, its not sticky or got any sugar in. I was on about sugar cos i want to put co2 in room and with 2 litre bottle how much sugar and yeast do i use. So you feel you need the CO2 shortcut, and want to know how to go about making it today...? What CO2 level are you at now, and what levels do you wish to achieve with the soda-bottle CO2 machine? Where are you going to place it...above or below the plants? Are you going to use it at night, or during the day? Is this ok for cooler temps, or warmer climates...? Closed room, or open ventilation? Increase nutes, or cut 'em back? Any personal dangers in using CO2?
CO2 isn't a shortcut, it's a tool. Likely best to know at least why you are using it.
