T5 - LEDs - MH best lights for Veg ????

Starting to put together my veg sytem in a 4x4 or 40"x40" tent. (flower tent 4.5x4.5 w/1k HPS)

I am a med marijuana patient restricted to 6 plants so I would like to get as much growth (fast) as possible before flower.

Anyone out there with 1st or 2nd hand experience? I have read the promos/ads...but trusting a sales pitch is like buying a cat in a bag..

I am leaning towards 6 or 8 4ft T5's but the LED sales pitch is tempting, MHs have been used for years. Before I burn my $$ I would like to get it right the 1st time.

in my opinion if your going for faster growth i would go with the tried and true metal halid.
the T5 would also be great but you will get better light penetration with the MH.
As for LED, i have never tried them but from reading reports, it always seems like a growers add a couple cfls with the LEDs. might as well stick with one light.
