hey guys this yr i wanna start a few plants indoors for a month then move outdoors..i usually just sprout the seeds then plant them all outdoors once they all show tap-roots but this yr i am using good genetcis and dont wanna lose 90% of my crop so how should i go about starting indoors then planting outdoors....i have a seedling tray with cover and the peat pods how long should i grow them in this thing before putting outside...i wanna put them out in 1st / 2nd week of may..so if i start now would the timing be right...im in north-east

I mean.. yea. LOL. I'd go ahead and start them pretty soon given that May will be here in about a month and a half.

I would let them get about 12-18 inches tall. Topping it once at 8 inches. If at 12 inches I feel the plant is very healthy and strong I would take it outside. Also don't put them outside unless there is at least 18 hours of daytime. Once the sun is 8 degrees past the horizon the light levels are low enough to be considered night. So sun rise to sun set may be 17.5 hours, but because of twilight you get 18 hours of light.

well i cant be hauling out 2 foot high plants through 3 towns and then 2 miles in the woods..im looking to get them on 3-4 sets of leaves or untill they fill out the 72 plant seedling tray
