When would be a good time to plant in socal. I want to have them veg all summer.
Right now the Length Of Visible Light: 12h 39m
Length of Day: 11h 50m
Tomorrow will be 2m 2s longer.
It it OK to plant now. Or wait until the days are 16 hours long?

I've heard of people growing year round in SoCal so I guess technically you could plant them any time you like. I would wait till mid april to be honest but you could probably pull it off if you started now depending on how warm it is. Just as long as it does go under like 60F minimum you can plant I'm pretty sure.
i also live in socal and have asked the same question. while it is possible to grow ALMOST year round in cali, the best time to do it is NOW!. Late febuary to late april is the best time to get started while its still cool. dont plan on having many plants grow once mid july comes around. when the temperature gets to be 95 and up (which it defenately will) the plants get "heat stress" and wilt. i know from experience because ive had about 7 plants since last summer and the heat killed 5. the last two seeds i saved until the beggining of this month and they are already alot taller and healthier than my other ones who were almost twice as old. in case u dont know the ideal temperature for cannabis is 70-80(85) degrees. after 90 degrees they stop growing. when the temp gets even hotter than that, the constant heat of a cali summer shows no mercy on all your hard work =[
I'm in S Cali too and I always start around mid March. If you are inland you almost have to start a little early because it gets so hot in July and Aug any too young plants won't do well. Also our longest day is around 14 hours not 16 ;)
How are your white dwarfs doing luna?
:hippy:
i used to plant mid march I.E.
The white dwarfs finished last month and were wonderful! They were not as potent as the sour bubbleryder but still very good. I just started a snowryder grow this week and have I have two SBR's that didn't AF in my greenhouse and I took some clones so far one took have 4 that are looking good and one that didn't make it not bad for my first real clonning attempt.
