Legalize Marijuana Paper Currency Project

This is not my idea. I heard about a similar project through facebook called The "Legalize It" Paper Money Project for Marijuana Law Reform.

Let the world know what you think of marijuana. Take a permanent marker and get creative. Write LEGALIZE MARIJUANA on each and every single paper note that crosses your path. Urge your friends and neighbors to do the same. Let the naysayers know how large the legalization movement really is and how much money we pump into the United States economy.

That thought has always crossed my mind. I would just hate to have the person receiving it try and reject it, lol.

Sounds like an interesting idea though, doesn't it? Money DOES go everywhere.

Title 18, Section 333:

Mutilation of national bank obligations

Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill ...shall be fined or imprisoned.

You left out the relevant parts.

As long as you don't mess with the serial number or make it look like it's a higher denomination than it actually is, you're golden. Otherwise, wheresgeorge.com would have been shut down a long time ago.

Besides, itâ??s not the governmentâ??s money, it's yours. Legal tender is provided by the Federal Reserve as a method of satisfying debts both public and private.
