First time user want to try firecrackers...

okay, so here is the deal. my gf and i have never used marijuana before and would like to experience it. the thing is, we don't like smoke. so we are thinking about making firecrackers and getting high that way. what do you guys think of this? how much would each of us need to get high since we have never done pot before? i can get schwag, but i don't know exactly whatt that means as far as potency. a gram each sound about right for firecrackers? i weigh 225. i have been reading up on these forums about firecrackers and have a pretty good idea of what to do. but is there anything else i need to know? thanks in advance

Nope, you pretty much got everything you need down pat.. Schwag is low poetency MJ by the way, but if you use a gram each you should still be fine. However, if you guys own your own place or don't have to fear gettting caught, I would suggest making another edible that tastes a little bit better:hippy:.. The tea is my favorite, I can give you the one I used if your interested...

thanks for the reply. i'm not much of a tea drinker so i don't know about that. i like the idea of firecrackers b/c they are super simple and supposedly last a long time. and you think i gram of schwag per person is enough for a really good time?

Well... eating weed instead smoking has advantages and disadvantages when are used the first time...

The advantages are the high takes way longer to kick in, so you can get used to it gradually, instead being suddenly in the "other world" as happens when you smoke the first time... (i got very frightened but the next day i was wanting to smoke again lol)... also the high is more relaxing, mellow, and (at least for me) in general more pleasurable than the smoked high...

The disadvantages are that as they kick in very slowly, its easy to think that they arent working and (wrongly) eat more... then when they kick in at last, you already ate too much, and get too high. Being too high can be nice when youre an experienced pothead, but to get too high during the first time isnt any good at all... and the "too high" from eaten weed is FAR higher than the smoked weed, cause smoking irritates the throat and so its harder to smoke too much than to eat too much... so the dose must be carefully measured and controlled.

I dont know anything about the potency of the weed where you live, so i wont risk any advice about the amount. Just remember that they take some hours to kick in, so its very possible to eat them and feel nothing during some 2, 3 hours or even more, then suddenly notice that youre getting high, increasingly faster... its trippy when it happens... and also remember that their effects lasts even longer... usually you only get completly sober again the next day... so do it when you have nothing to care about.

Also, try to be as "inacessible" as possible, as if they work you probably wont function properly for some hours, and some things can kill the fun... for example during one of my first highs my mom called... talking with her at the phone while stoned out of my mind (and trying very hard to hide it) wasnt nice at all...

And, please, if you get too high, dont panic... there is a video (actually only the sound) on the youtube of someone (i think its a cop) that ate too much weed and panicked... its ridiculous!!!! We stoners laugh our asses off while hearing that, cause we understand very well how he felt... i havent the link here, but it isnt hard to find...

But, you also can get only barely high. Sometimes the effects of weed arent noticed during the first times, cause you dont know what are them and dont how how to notice youre high... after you get used to get high, there are some "key effects" you look for to determine if youre high or not... but during the first times its easy to only notice the more "obvious" effects, like the relaxation and the mellowness, and dont notice the subtler (mind) effects, like the time/space alterations, the increase in the senses, the unusual thoughts, and a general sense that there is something different...

The firecrackers (or whatever edible you choose) works better if eaten with an empty stomach... in fact, eating them with a full stomach doesnt work.
Firecrackers are very easy to do indeed, but many people dislikes its taste (that usually is bad indeed), so there are a lot of tastier recipes... i suggest the one i did use the 2nd time ever i used weed... brigadeiros... theyre pretty easy to make and very tasty.

So, good luck, choose some nice place, the songs you likes most (or some trippy thing like pink floyd), some food for the munchies, and enjoy... the first times are the best ones... :stoned::thumbsup:

I suggest smoking for the first time getting high. Eating it can be extremely potent, and it can sneak up on you. I foolishly ate a big dank bud of some Trainwreck, or something really good, and anyway, an hour later, I didn't feel much, but two and a half hours later I was peaking in line at the airport.

Anyway, the reason I suggest smoking is because the effects are felt instantly, and you will understand better what it is to be high. And you can just take small hits. You can get just as high from smoking three small hits and one big one.

i recommend going to your local tobacco shop or a headshop if your in a larger city, and buying a onehitter,a metal one will run you 4-8 dollars USD and a glass one will run you 14 or so, metal ones are nice because they are easier to load, and wont break, a glass one will be more aesthetically appeasing, and generally will give the smoke a better taste, but since its schwag it doesnt matter, and id recommend a metal one for now, it wont take much to get you high, even schwag, share a fully loaded one hitter, wait maybe a half hour, and if you feel like more, go for it, just be sure not to overdo it, which can be easy even with schwag for beginners, make sure your not getting ripped off, how much are you paying for the schwag? Make sure its weed in general also... If you do like marijuana, i suggest getting a scale too, make sure your not getting ripped off,(an eighth is 3.4-3.5 grams or in the neighborhood, quarter is 6.8-7 grams, and on,)

thanks for even more insight. i am still making all the preperations. i'll get some food for snacks, i've got my zeppelin albums that i have always wanted to listen to while stoned, and i am going to take the battery out of my cell phone.

as far as the pot goes, i'm getting it from a friend of mine that knows a thing or 2. i trust him and his prices seem reasonable. $20 for 4 grams of schwag sound about right? and i had been wondering how i am supposed to measure the amount of weed for each cracker. since i don't have a scale, what do i do to measure out 1 gram at a time?

If you are buying 4 grams, crumble it in your fingers into as fine a consistency as possible. Make your little pile of weed uniform in height and width then split it in half, then split each half, in half. You should now have 4 little piles of weed that are roughly the same size. Make 4 firecrackers. It really won't matter if one has a little more or a little less pot in it then the others.
