your speculation is probably true. Sources say he has been binge drinking for the past year now and many of the World leaders at the recent G20 summit conclude that he was in fact intoxicated during the event. There were also several incidents where he would uncontrollably pass out when he hung around the White House on his off times. It's really not surprising given his past and because of the fact that he is probably the most hated president in recent times. He's being blamed for the economic crisis (which I don't totally blame him on), the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Katrina incident, Patriot Act, 9/11, and a whole shit storm of other problems. If you google "miserable failure" every single page has his name on it. I think we're putting most of the blame on him and I don't think it's all his fault but I'm certain that he will be remembered for committing these things just as FDR and his new deal. With all that said....I would probably head to the nearest hard liquor store myself. He's lucky he didn't get assasinated let alone charged for war crimes.
he quit booze at 40, and I doubt if the wife would go along with his falling off the wagon! (I wouldn't want her mad at me! She'd make him write "I will not drink booze" a 100 times!)
However, I seem to remember a leaked (and quickly "forgotten") story about his docs changing his (unnamed, strongly-hinted as anti-depressants) meds. So the docs could easily have just upped his meds or switched them.
I know my hubby gets unpredictable results with several of them- some "zombied" him. bush doesn't have half the brains my hubby has, so a "similar effect" in bush would amount to profound retardation.
But, it could be either booze, pills, lack of sleep, or even a mini-stroke (his "popularity" ratings are enough to give him one.). But bush is such an idiot, it's kind of hard to tell!
But I do hope he hasn't started drinking again- he doesn't look like he'd be a happy drunk. :(
Granny :hippy:
It sounds like Jim Beam talking.
I hope somebody doesn't throw a shoe at him, these last days...
I kinda think its just booze myself. I dont really blame him either dream, but man, what a sad sad end to a sad sad time! I hope change really is in our future. Maybe our next pres. will trade drinking for smoking! Atleast I did! :rastasmoke:
I think its just the normal speech pattern of a twelve year old, which emotionally and intellectually is what he is.
HAHA, touche!Quote:

Anyway, I don't think Bush is the smartest president and I certainly wouldn't even name him a genius but in no way shape or form is he a complete idiot. He knew exactly what he was doing and he knew exactly what was at stake when he committed all of his actions. Was he foolish, yes, but was he just so stupid that he decided to do these things because he didn't know what he was getting into? Absolutely not. And in some strange cosmic sense, despite the messiness of the situation, he did succeed in accomplishing what he wanted, for the most part. Think about it. He wanted Iraqi oil...did he get it. Most certainly. He wanted the patriot act adopted....did it work with little opposition. Indeed. He failed horribly in doing what was right for the country but you gotta hand it to him....he succeed rather well in his personal goals and guess what? He's walking away scott free. He's not a genius but he's not stupid....he's just mean and selfish thats all.
george bush was articulate when he was governor of texas
