Making seeds
Hello,
I am attempting to get a supply of seeds for an Auto AK47. He is 23 days old and I thought it would be at least another couple of weeks before I would have to put plastic over is head to collect the pollen. The little pods started opening up today. Is there maybe some smaller pods inside the pods that open or is he already polinating the neighborhood? I hope this picture helps.
Thanks in advance. I will do an introduction and all that in a bit, just thought I should figure this out NOW! I know others in my area are growing too and I don't want to give them unwanted seeds.
Thanks

When the nanners (pods) open-up, there will be four tiny bannana-shaped anthers inside. They look like they are covered in yellow velvet, which is actually the pollen.
Being aware that it may affect other growers in your area is very commendable, and worthy of some good rep. Having said that...it depends on their goegraphic location from you, prevailing wind direction, wind dispersion, quantity of pollen released, number of plants releasing the pollen, and whether their grow is indoors or outdoors. But yes, it is theoretically possible to 'lightly' pollinate anothers' grow, miles down wind. It's not very likely, but not impossible, either.
