What all do you have to do to get a permit/prescrition for weed?

I once heard on the news that you can go into designated shops and buy small amounts of weed. Do you need a cannicard permit or something.... if so what qualifys you to get one (diseases, illnesses,) or how can you get one?....

Anyways isnt weed completly decriminalized to possess in south cal?
How old do you have to be 18 or 21?

well first you need some time of proof to any conditions that you would use to seek a rec such as medical records percription bottles etc. secondly you need a state id for whatever state you wish to apply thirdly you need to set up an app. to see a doc tell him your story and hope it goes well they will charge you anywhere from a 100-175 from the ones that i have checked out so shop around make phone calls its kinda like checking out cars b4 u get one to find the best price from the doc good luck

The doctors have NOTHING to do with you getting the cannabis! They merely give you the rec! You will need your medical records verifying your condition, any pills you have been prescribed, and the money. All you NEED to be "legal" is the note from the doctor. If you are under 18, your parent must go with you and sign that it is OK that you are getting MMJ.

Now how to get the pot- either you just do as always and contact you friendly neighborhood dealer, or grow your own, or you go to a dispensary/club. The clubs have their own cards which are fine- except if the club gets busted- then the feds have your name. I don't have a club card. To get an idea what is available at some clubs go here-

There are also county cards- these are government cards which are supposed to be confidential. I frankly don't trust my (corrupt, rural) government not to leak my name! So I don't have one.

And heck no, weed is NOT decriminalized in So. Cali!

Storm is very knowlafble about the subject and you should read up on it there are alot of threads on hear that have info on the laws regarding our subject and yes you do get to select which kinda of green you wish to take and the only diff with the canni clubs and your neighborhood friend is the different selection in grades and forms of which you get your meds but as storm mentioned there is always the rishk of getting your info into the laws hand when your dispensirie friends get busted mind you i said when because it is pretty much inevatiable with the current laws on prohibition prosecution is likely but charges will most likely be dropped as well just an inconcience like most gov policies also it would be best to try to find a club that doesnt not require there idea as to protect your identity so shop around
