dissolve salt build up?

i can't remember the name of the stuff used for dissolving fert salt build up, can anyone let me know? and another thing, would this eliminate the need for flushing?

I don't know the name of the product but a nice old flush might just do the work. Try watering until you get a small runoff and then let it sit there for about 10 minutes (giving it time to disolve the salts) and water it again so all the water that was sitting there get out of the container.

agreed

save yourself the money and just flush normally

the thing is that i plan on doing a scrog in a grow box which is going to make it very difficult to flush in my bathtub as i dont really plan on moving the tangled mess at all

Even there you can setup you area to have a rubbermain or some other container under the plants, like installing a little rack... Putting the plants on the higher shelf and the big rubbermain under, then you just have to remove the rubbemaid and empty it in the bathtub and back in place... Just an idea like that or just wait for someone to come and tell you what is this miracle product to flush.

i think you are on to something, maybe i will set up something the plant can stand on and that the water can run through, cant believe i didnt think of that, good job. but i am still curious stuff the name of this stuff which is posted somewhere in this forum and if you would still need to flush if you used it but will probably go with your idea.

You are thinking of Clearex. It is a flushing agent- a chelator. You still have to flush. Otherwise, where does the buildup actually go? IT has to actually LEAVE the soil.
Regular pHd tap water is fine for flushing.

thank you stinky, good point i guess the build up cant just disappear lol but it makes me wonder what the stuff actually does. Anyways im probably gonna be forgetting about this whole grow box idea anyways and get a 400w hps and grow in a room which will make flushing easy
