A Grower I know came home from a trip to some Nor Cal Clubs with the strain called U2.....Does anyone know anything about the lineage in the genetics of this strain...I've scoured the web to no avail....any help is appreciated...

U2 Kush huh...do you know the genetics...I don't know if it's the same strain of U2 I smoked but it was very potent stuff, good medical properties...Quote:

Funny, I have 3 U2 growing in my back yard and can only give a little info about the strain.
I know it has a Kush background. It obviously is a very heavy Indica plant. It has very broad leaves up to 10 blade feeders at the top. It also finishes fairly quickly both indoors and out. The trichome formation is way ahead of my other strains (Hawaiian Breeze; an early girl, Barney's Seed Red Dragon, heavy sativa, and a PineApple crossed with White Widow; both heavy staivas iwth a longer finish...) The plant itself (at least MY phenotype) is very squat and bushy with very close node spacing. I have heard of 10 oz inddor harvests for these babies in Norcal. The strain comes from Northern California and is VERY popular n the clubs there, right along with the now Famous Pineapple "Express". I have one medical grower who grows these two strains exclusively.
If anyone does know the true lineage, I would love to know. I am going to contact the NorCal grower and see if he can enlighten us...! :rasta::rastasmoke:
OK< so two things I know for sure: I mispoke myself a little above, and Bubba Kush will knock you on your azz!
OK< The U2s I have are all short and bushy. They have primarily 5 blade leaves (The 10 I quoted is rare and is more prone to Sativa plants..lol, der), although there are a couple of 7 bladers on the taller of the 3.
