Failed at home test after 5 weeks clean?!?

I have a drug test coming up in 48 hours so I went and bought a 5 strip at home test and as you already know... fail for weed! :eek:

I am a 40 year old male, 6'6, 240 pounds. I smoked reguraly in the evenings only, usually a couple or three bowls a night. I was working out some for the first couple weeks of being clean, but haven't done much since.

I have been clean for 5 weeks now and can't believe that it was still in my system.

I will try NC's dilution method but I am shocked that the test came in positive. :( Any other suggestions?

I wasn't passing the first morning test at 33 days clean... thats 4 weeks 5 days, so close to 5 weeks. I did pass after a little dilution, but it scared me enough to sub using QF.

When you did your test, was it first morning urine or did you test in the middle of the day after how much dilution?

I was my second void of the day but it was dark yellow and I had little if nothing to drink yet.

I am going to buy another test today and try it this afternoon after diluting some.

Do you know if the home tests can tell if the sample is diluted?

If youre using a drug testing kit that features an integrated validity check for creatinine and specific gravity, yes it will.

Examples of these types of test kits can be found on the craigmedical and meditests website, among others.

I have been loading on creatine, vitamins, and water as discussed in N2's thread for the last 24 hours. I am also eating like a horse in hopes of adding a few pounds of "clean" fat to help things out a bit.

I just filled the testing vial and it was a normal yellow color, as hoped, even after drinking over 72oz of water today.

I just took my second at home test and passed. The second line was faint, but it was definately there.

BUT... and this is a big BUT... I noticed that this test had a testing level of 50 Ng/Ml cutoff (passed) and the first on I purchased and took yesterday had a 20 Ng/Ml (failed). I am still very concerned that I will not pass the official test.

I have a second 50 Ng/Ml test I will take tomorrow before I leave for the real test and I sure hope that the last one comes out negative too. I also plan on continuing my dilution until then and I am also going to take a bottle of Xxxtra Clean two hours before my official test in hopes of sealing the deal.

The worst part of this is that I committed to myself that I would quit smoking weed for good. It would suck if I lost the new job when I planned on quitting for good anyway.

I have a question to the O.P. and also the second poster on the topic. How much and how long did you guys smoke. Posts like these are whats freaking me out. I never did pot until a little while ago. I don't think I did much compared to allot here (if you check my other topics you can see exactly how much I did and for how long) but I don't know for sure. I have been trying to see how long I might be screwed for and these kinds of post have me freaked.

How much and how long did you guys use. Have you guys used daily for years or did you only smoke once or twice and now you are testing positive 30 plus days later. As much info from you guys makes it easier to see what I am really up against here. If you do check my other topics please feel free to comment. Any more advice would be great.

I guess I'm the second poster on this topic, so I'll respond.

I've been smoking pot since 1975. Lived in Amsterdam from 98-06, smoking the high quality shit daily. I still smoke daily, but because of my budget, only a bowl or two a day. I'm about 35 pounds overweight and late 40s with slow metabolism, so this contributes to the thc staying in my system longer than the young active skinny smokers.

Doobious, hope your test went well... let us know! Most tests are 50 ng/nl cutoff, so don't worry too much about that.
