What to do>

My little shit brother is starting to get out of control, he's 15 and thinks he is the biggest bad ass on the face of the earth. I just had to lay him out before school because he started punching fuckin holes in the wall and getting out of control.. Shitty situation if it wasen't my family it'd be easy because I wouldn't worry as much about what was gonna happen and just do something.. Bleh.

Now he's refusing to go to school, failing out [ i failed too, don't want him to do the same] and just has a general i am a bad ass attitute and won't listen.. i just wanna pound the fuck out of him to make him realize how idiotic he is.. god damn.

lol, the best thing to do is probally absolutely nothing whenever i try to do something it makes shit even more messed up.

your his brother, talk some sense into him, or let ur parents know, cuz obviously he's goin threw some problems, but doesnt know how to come out and talk about it.:(U need to do everything u can to help him, and dont ever give up on helping family.cuz u will regret it in the future.:jointsmile:hope i helped;)

Gotta be patient with the man. When I was 15, I was like your brother, infact long after because I didn't have any guidance. So give him some. Next time he acts likes that, ask him how much he's getting acting like a dumbass. Gotta get him on a level that grabs his attention.

Yeah. Talk to him but you don't have to get physical with him or anything. If he doesn't listen then I suppose he has to make his own mistakes to realize how dumb he was. Fortunately I had role models that fucked their own lives up so I was able to learn from their mistakes.

15 year old behavior. same thing with my 15 year old sister. but then i looked back and said i used to act that way too. its just a faze they will get over it probably by age 17-19. just keep em in check.

there is a lot more that goes into it than leading by example. that is definitely one thing that needs to be done. but the kid is 15, and is just that, a kid. he has a lot of learning and growing to do. he has to learn about his self and learn to truly accept himself for who he is and to truly love his self. maybe the kid needs to get his bell rung a couple of times. i know that sounds harsh, being your brother and all, but it's the truth, and sometimes it hurts. in his eyes, you will always have a biased view because you are his brother, older at that. you can try to talk to him, but it doesn't sound like he's very willing to listen.

does he like to read? find a way to relate to him. and use that in to get your logical, well thought out points across. not biased, because i said so, but because this is how the real world works. you have to stay on him, but don't preach. use his experiences to help him learn. lead him into answering the tough questions himself. don't spoon feed him. make him earn it, he'll appreciate it more. this is only a start. hope it helps.

edit: also remember that you being his older brother he wants acceptance from you! that can be tough on him. make sure he knows what you expect from him, what makes you proud of him. make sure he knows that you love him, are there for him and proud of him for the things he does well.
