i only have like a 3 by 5 grow space, would it get way too hot? i just came across one with ballast and everything for 250, they didnt say hps or mh, would i even be able to pull that off? or would it get too hot? there is not ventilation besides opening the door during light hours
no way without ventilation. you could cut a hole in the ceiling (really easy to fix). sure you can't vent it?
agreed.... no f-ing way you could run 1000 in a 3x5 without vents! Even air cooled I highly doubt it. Maybe look into a 600 or some of the LEDs everyone is talking about!
i ran a 1000HPS a 400 hps and a 250 mh all in a 1.5 x3.5x6 closet.
Sure it gets reall hot but with 3 fans you CAN keep the temps around 80. the problem with using even just a 1000 in a small closet like that is that i find you cant emit the light evenly and you will need to water OFTEN. it is next to impossible without a good dome reflector.
I would recommend the 600. Its more effecient and does burn cooler. I'm still having problems keeping my 1000 below 85 in a 4X8X8 room.
