first time grow! advice please!

Hi, i'm new to growing, as well as this site.
not sure if i'm doing anything wrong and what it is i should do..any help would be GREATLY appreciated. it's a very half assed station i set up.
it's a metal tool box with no ledges. about 2.3 feet tall. i put foil on all 6 sides.
i purchased a clone from a local clinic. it is banana kush. i've had it for only 3 days now. it's about 5.5 inches tall.
-the temperature inside the box is about 80 degrees.
- i'm using a fluorescent light i've had for years. no idea on it's wattage. the light is about 6 inches away from the plant and on 24/7.
- i'm using some organic soil i purchased from OSH. i've been watering it about 4ozs a day in the morning. as well as spraying it once every 3 hours or so.

the plant on the left is white widow. started at 6 inches as well. bought them both the same time. i tried putting the lighting up via duct tape. didn't hold and i came back home a couple hours later to find that the light fixture has fallen and broke my white widow plant via trunk. made my heart drop. the main stem that looked good enough and not totaly wilted yet i thought that MAYBE i could preserve it by putting it in water. that was day 1. now it looks even greener and stronger so it seems like it's working. not sure when i should take it out of the water and put it in the soil.

ANY advice would be awesome...:thumbsup:
