Im not exactlly sure, what type of light an SPL? is, but if that plant is 2-3 months old, I would say it is either not getting enough light or too much fertz by the size of it. A plant that size probably shouldn't get nutes 3x a week. As for the even number leaf sets, I have heard they are a sign of stress. Can't be sure though.

Since I'm a n00b, I haven't earned "2 cents" yet, so here's my "1 cent" advice.
I have a fair amount of experience with plants -- just not the awesomeness that is MJ. As the above poster noted, the plant is undersized and not in the best of health for its age.
Due to my status, I can only parrot what Ms. Stinkyattic and the other grow gurus tell everyone in the various FAQs available as a sticky at the top of each forum. (Do yourself a huge favor and read them and follow them.)
MJ is very picky about the pH of its growing medium and its water/nutes. Since you did not fill out the pH information in the troubleshooting form, I assume (I know, I know, ASS U ME) you don't know it/haven't checked it. Once pH is off, everything goes to hell so to speak and adding more water/nutes/supplements just makes things worse.
The consistent results you see from the experienced growers on the forums and in the grow logs comes from attention to all the large and small details.
End advice,
Crabby

Since you asked about genetics, what strain(s) are you growing?

Are four point leaves bad genetics???
u know what, i was blazed i have a 400w hps and i am over nuting the plant, i am growin various beester strains right now but they are practice for the thai x skunk hybrids i really want to start, but i am over nuting, and i assure you the plant is getting way sufficient light.one reason that the growth may have been stunted was because i started growth in a kind of haggard lilbox setup and then i went and spent the money.another is that i have lst'd the plant from the get go.either way, im gonna flood the resivoir tonight. is there anywhere in particular that sells the soil ph test kits?everywhere i go people look at me like im dumb.i am going by the feeding levels on the bottles, and i think the vigoro needs to go.:stoned:

i have a plant like that 1 of 8. Nothing wrong i dont think, my plant is doing fine only had one leaf do that.
Are four point leaves bad genetics???
I think sometimes you do get the odd plant that has genetic annomalies. Not necessarily BAD genetics though. You dont really know wether they are bad or good annomalies until you flower the plant. If it has a strange number of leaf points all over the plant, id say its probably genetic. If it only happens to a few leaves, more likley its been caused by maybe stress or just the way that plant develops. All seeds are individuals and will display differences but I'd personally want to grow the 'wierd' plants more out of curiosity.

i think you guys are more right, just that it was a strange occurrance rather than a nuting problem, i have 3 different solutions, a tigerbloom sloution geared towards heavy feeding to instructions (distilled), a grow big and tiger bloom solution (distilled), and a spray solution for foliar feeding using a very lie tiger bloom adjustment(distilled).they are used in a rotation the gb&tb are once a week, the tb only is monthly and i do foliar feeding whenever i feel it is necesssary, mj is never hungry. o and p.s. my p.h. was 6.8 so im good, i dont think shes sick at all, just special.
