Boy shocked after man powers up campaign sign

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill was tired of someone stealing McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard. Turschak, with a degree in electrical engineering, hooked up a third sign to a power source for an electric pet fence Monday and also put up a surveillance camera. The News & Observer of Raleigh reported that a 9-year-old boy with an Obama-Biden sign grabbed the McCain-Palin sign and got a jolt on Tuesday.
The boy's father, Andrew Noble, upset that his son had been shocked, showed up at Turschak's door. Soon an Orange County sheriff's deputy also showed up at the Turschak's home.
Noble said his son just wanted to see how the sign was put together. Turschak said the boy intended to swap out the signs.
Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass said he doesn't plan to file charges.

I would never, in my fucking life even entertain the notion of letting my son just wonder up onto someone else's property for ANY reason, including because apparently this little child prodigy is some kind of aspiring engineer and wants to really figure out "how it was put together".
This sounds like some dipshit dad that was perfectly fine with letting his little shit spawn go up and do whatever it wanted to. I have a little shit spawn, I know what they are capable of, even more of a reason NOT to just stand there and let him.
So guess the kid got what he deserved, too bad the kid has to suffer for his dipshit dad, but maybe he will learn to be better because of it!:D
Or maybe he will learn that there is no justifiable reason to grab a yard sign that is not in your yard. Either way,

In my hood all the Obama signs are disappearing. sO my Neighbor put a bunch up high on the house and a GIANT homemade one in the back yard. Thanks punks now we have giant signs instead of little ones!

Hmmm... if the guy's sign kept getting stolen as the clipping says rather than stolen and swapped for Obama signs, then chances are the kid had stolen the Obama sign as well. Sure Dad - he was just curious how it was constructed... Bzzzzz. Wrong! Your little engineer there doesn't give a damn about the structural properties of campaign signange - he is just an obnoxious little brat that's been stealing everyone's yard signs just to screw with them.

:S2: in my hood, there aint no sense in even tryin to step in this way, every single house and yard has multiple mccain signs, it will take an army to have them removed if anyone intends to do so, even the singular obama supporters have put up like 10 signs at different places n locations on their properties

seems to me its about whoever has the most signs has the strongest support for their candidates, its like a race in its own kind among neighbors, u know mine is bigger than yours argument :D
