early plant growth problems - question
hey i just started growing a plant in dirt about a week ago, i was not able to give it 24 hours of light during the first few days so as a result it has grown tall and scrawney and fell over, at the moment i have a stick holding it up, but would it be better just to restart with a new plant? or will the plant recover alright and do fine in the future if i continue to give it the right amount of light?

hi,
your plant will be fine... just keep it under the light as close as possible without burning... which will prevent any more stretching.
good luck

I agree with bluntwiz...Also,be sure not to overwater as your symptoms sound like a classic case of "damping-off"... :420thought:

Just read a post by stinky and she says damping-off is caused by to much humidity and not enough air-flow...You have any of that going on???She also says to keep your temps 68/78... :420thought:

alright thanks alot, i havent been overwatering it but there hasnt been too much air flow, the leaves at the top now are starting to turn brown though and the base of the stem is extremely thin, but to fix the airflow problem would a small fan work alright?
