Temp. too cold? Rubbermaid Closet build
After a night of internet surfing, someone on the forums posted a link to this guy's (Blue_Adept) rubbermaid stealth grow tub. At first i was planning on just going for a 250w HPS setup for about 4 plants but this seems more practical. Here is the link to the guys build. I can do it no problem i just have a few questions. (i dont want to sign up for another forum just to ask two questions so hopefully you guys can help me out here)

id be storing the tubs in a walk in closet downstairs. The thing is, the downstairs is the coldest room in the house and the closet is pretty uncomfortably cold. Will the Rubbermaid tubs keep insolated or will the cold air penatrate and ruin the plants?
Im thinking i could possibly just skip the plexiglass step and let some warm air in the tubs while there are still exhaust fans taking out MOST of the warm air. Just enough for the plants to be happy?
Also, he doesnt say how he wired up his lights. Anyone know how i could do that? Splice them all together then splice into the PC power supply?
Thanks for any help guys!

Temp. too cold? Rubbermaid Closet build
I recently built a similar box. Two tubs instead of three w/6 CFLs.
I kept the box in my basement at 52ish degrees for the first few days and nearly killed off my two 2 week old clones. CFLs produce some heat, but not enough to keep that space warm. They've since bounced back, but it definitely took a toll on them.

I have a walk in closet that had a rubbermaid grow (22 gallon bins) and I wrapped emergency blanket inside of the bins. Its reflective and did the job while battling 30 degree temps on the outside of the bin. I would adjust the intake fan aim it at the 12 cfl's I had running. Unfortunatly I upgraded to MH and now I only use the lower half of the bin to keep the roots a bit warmer. I'm still battling the low temps!! :smokin:
