My First Grow- 1 inside and 1 outside :P
hi everyone im really knew to this so dont laugh if im not specific on the details. This is my first grow, i got one inside under CFL lights ( a big one and 2 little ones ) which are turned on 24/0 in my cupboard with foil on the walls. I got another one outside in my backyard and it only gets about 8-10 hours sun because my house blocks out the evening sun.
The one that is inside is in a medium size pot probably 25 cm wide and 25cm deep, the inside one is in a large pot about 40 cm wide and 50cm deep..
I feed both of them both miricle-grow everyday and the NPK is like 15-10-15, i know thats strong but i only put half a teaspoon of it in a 2l bottle of water.
They're both about 3 weeks old now and are pretty healthy ( as far as i know ) I'll keep updating this page alot, if anyone has any tips you are encouraged to share your knowledge.
Here are some pics
Let me know what you think.

For the CFL big and little don't help us a lot, what you need to check is the number of lumen for each of them. The plant outside should never be in contact with the plant inside, you could bring in pests and/or insects. The pot are a little bit too big for the plants right now, you should always start with smaller container and transplant them when they get root bound (the root start to circle at the end of the pot). What is the kind of soil you are using ? You should not water you're plants everyday, wait until the soil get dry before watering them otherwise you can suffocate as the roots need some air. Have you started from seeds or they are clones ?

thanks man, your help is very much appreciated. i dont know much about growing, only the information i got off the net.
My soil says:
This Product is made from organic materials, including compost pinebark and living organisms such as bacteria, fungi and protozoa.
The Big CFL is 900 lumens and 2700k ( this is what is had written on the bulb)
The Smaller ones say 470 lm ( guessing that means lumens? )
These are not clones i acually got the seeds out of a random bud so i dont even know what strained they are. Will having them in big pots make that big of a difference? Also is it bad to have the inside one out in the sun during the morning or should i just leave it in my cupboard, i dont even know if i have enough light in there but so far they seem to be liking it
thanks for the tips you probably saved my plants..i would have fucked up :D
oh one last thing do you think they are both heathly? and do you think the one outside will be okay only having about 8 hours sun a day?

The soil look like a good one, as I said before don't water them every days. You could pack more light for the indoor one, will help make it happy! Just to let you know there is 50% of chance of being a male, males don't produce THC.
Big pot for seedlings are not too good, but it won't kill them, next time try to start with something like a plastic cup (not transparent) and make some holes for the water to drain out. When the seedlings become bigger, check for root bound and then transplant them, this will make them stronger.
You should add a fan for your indoor seedling, this will help it build a stronger stem and provide the plant with Co2 so it can grow faster!
Young seedlings who never saw the sun can be stress by it, try to give it indirect light first and after a few days you can give put it to the sunlight. Always be sure NOBODY can see you're plants, always be safe, don't talk about it if you don't want to end up in jail!
They look like healthy for now, usually young seedling should get only a quarter strength fertilizer.
Cannabis plants have two growing state : vegetative and flowering
veg plants should have at least 16 hours of light
Flowering plants need to be kept under 12/12 (dark/light)
If you don't give enough light to the plants they will start to flowering, your plants as still too small and young to start flowering, you always could but they will not yield a lot.

Oh man you are a life saver. thank you!
how tall or old should they be when i flower them? and how should i go about it? im scared if i leave them in my cupboard that they will die from high humidity. i have a desk fan but im not sure if it will be to strong to put in that small space.
oh and when you said add some more light...how many lumens should i have all together?
From what you can see do you think ill be able to support my smoking habit from them? ( if they're females ofcourse )

Hey man, I just hopped over here from Killa's grow log. You asked for some people to stop by and check your stuff out
One thing I have to say on top of the good advice that Lucifer just gave you is that for your indoor plant, you might want to replace that tin foil with either white walls or white printer paper taped to sheets of cardboard. Tin foil is the worst light reflector out there. Trust me, I learned that from the best.
Other than that, they look healthy. You should get them into smaller pots though and then re-transplant them...
KEEP IT UP MAN!

hey thanks SunnyD , If you look at the pictures with the tin foil you'll notice the walls behind the foil are white...should i just take the foil right off?
oh and good idea about the paper and cardboard

take the foil off.. white paint reflects good and doesnt reflect much heat
foil makes hot spots and reflects too much heat and not much light
