Couple nute questions from a neWb/wannabe
Im about to begin my first grow in about a week or so, once the beans get here. Ive been doing all the reading up I can and hopefully I can put up a good first time successfull grow log for you guys featuring PPP and CFL lighting. I held off on getting nutrients today whilst at Lowes. The reason being: I know theres not a set nutrient feeding as the regiment often changes throughout the stages of growth.
So, what nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium setup should i go with to start (If thats even how it goes, go easy im new to this :)). When should I begin feeding into vegetation? Im going to be getting all the supplies at a local store Lowes,Walmart, etc. so please dont recommend fox farms or other stuff that needs to be ordered via internet. Last question before I quit bugging yall (southern slang for you all), when I get some plant food at the local store and if its solid, do i just mix that in with the potting mix? Or should I go for a liquid feed that can be mixed in with the waterings? Thanks much and I look forward to reading the replies.

I started my first grow just like you and bought everything I needed at Lowes/Home Depot.
I am using a 17-17-17 Peter's All Purpose Plant food. It's like $12 at Homedepot or Lowes. I forgot where I got it. I just started feeding the nutes and I'm in week 4 of veg. It might have been just a little bit early as I got one plant turning very light yellow on a couple tips but I drained it and it should be fine soon. The food mix is just mixed in with one gallon of water. You can buy distilled water at Wal Mart for about .79 cents a gallon.

I just saw today must of the solid feeds disolve into water, so that answers that part.
