new grow room vent questions/ co2
sup people, i have a few questions about setting up a new grow room. im not new to growing but new to growing in a bigger area. i have had some grows under my belt in a closet but now transferring to a new environment. now im moving into a condo and i have a room dedicated to growing. what i want is a 4x8 room for flowering (12 plant) and 4x8 for veg. im going to part the room with panda plastic and was just curious about venting. i was thinking on venting just the lights to the outside window to cool them and was thinking about using co2. do i still need fresh air intake if i ran a co2 setup? i am going to exhaust with a hefty carbon scrubber with the vent going outside also. do you think if i directly vent out side of the window that there still will be an odor coming out?
oops this is actually in the wrong category?

Is this a rental, or do you own? (unexpected visits by maintenance or management can be a bust)

What kind of lights? CFL's and fluoro's are no concern for heat, but if going with HID's for both sides, it will make things a bit trickier.
Light leaks will be a bitch to fix. Could you use the closet for a fluoro veg, and the rest of the room for flowering with HID's?
Setting-up your lights, and monitoring temps BEFORE you commit to this is likely a good idea. This can help you troubleshoot problems before plants and cash are put at risk. (the cash being necessary to remedy the problems you'll likely encounter)

What is your reasoning for 'wanting' to use CO2 in your home? A garage or shed I would say it's worth the risk and the bother, but indoors...I personally wouldn't risk it.

If you are just scrubbing the room exhaust, that's the only air that will be scrubbed. The air from the lights, is air that is sucked from just above the plants, so it will likely need scrubbing. Since you are in a condo, changes in wind direction will deliver any un-scrubbed odors throughout the complex, so keep that in mind.

Naw...we'll just pretend you have an 8' x 8' closet.
