Caught on campus, need some advice

Hey guys. Great forum, been browsing for a while.

So anyway, this is a longshot but maybe someone can help me out. I'm 18, took a semester off and hope to go to this college (let's call it UM) next semester. I've got a bunch of friends at UM and last night I went there to chill with them and we got busted blazing by campus security. It wasn't really a big deal, they took all the shit and told the non-students (me and a couple others) to leave and stay off campus for the night. So I'm wondering, do you guys think this could prevent me from getting accepted there next semester? I was already accepted there once but choose not to go so I'm hoping this won't change their minds.

Did they take your name or a picture of you? If not I don't see how it's even gonna matter...it's not like the campus security guards are the ones who make the decisions...

yeah they tooks names and that stuff. Nah i mean i know they aren't gunna be the ones deciding but i'm sure they had to file some sort of report with the university. i'm just hoping my name doesn't get flagged or whatever.

I don't think they're gonna keep your name if you're not a student and don't have a file there...there's no reason to...I doubt it'll effect your chances of getting in.

Damn u got lucky....lol.... i went to a school run by Nazis got busted they called to cops and me and my two buddies went to jail, and got suspended from the school for a year....can you believe that, i was a senior too, my senior year and theyre gonna suspended me over a half gram of kush...give me a break i get pissed just talkin about it....but to answer ur question id say affecting ur chance of getting accepted...doubtful they got so many applicants it shouldnt matter, id recommend getting a place off campus though

Dude.....wise up and keep yourself out of trouble... here in Mississippi, even simple possession of marijuana within 1500ft of a school or church is a FELONY. Your damn lucky you didn't get turned over to the *real* police.

You got to remember "Never put yourself in a position where somebody has to *DO* something about it in the first place."

Yea if something like that happens again and you are gonna get turned over to the police don't give out your real name and just beat a rent a cop and get out of there quick! Make sure they can't follow though.

Thats just about the most ignorant advice I have ever heard. I would expect that out of a 14 year old child.

i'd say your risk of it affecting your enrollment is extremely slim to none. that being said, i was busted on Western Michigan University's campus in the dorms last year and the cops just left with the tiny amount of pot and never said anything and then 4 months later i got a letter in the mail informing me of a warrant for my arrest

not trying to scare you but college cops are shady fucks. if you say you dealt with some rent-a-cops though you should be pretty safe man

my situation wasnt so lucky tho.....i got caught in january and put on probation in april and im still paying for that shenanigans. my advice would be to just stay away from campuses at night with pot or suck it up and eat it next time
