CO2 and ventilation Question.
I would like to add CO2 to my grow tent and flower room but it doesnt sound practical with what ive read, because in order to properly ventilate your room u need to change the air in the room 2-5 times every minute. now any co2 u put in there litteraly goes right out the window. its like trying to heat your home in the winter with all the windows open... I am currently work with a 9x10x8ft room. 720sqft... so thats a pretty big fan i would need. plus im going to need a carbon scrubber. but theres aplace nearby that sell pAckages for a good price... but can someone tell me what the best configuration for the flower room would be,when factoring in CO2 and ventilation. or how these 2 work.
I will soon be investing in all the metering tools. Ph meter, temp, co2. humidity..... is there an all in one tool?

If you use Co2 you don't have to ventilate the place... The purpose of the ventilation is to bring more Co2 to the plants as the ambient air has about 20% of Co2. You still need to ventilate when the place is getting too hot because of the Co2 and the lamp but it's less often so there is not too much waste.

so i have a 9x10x7ft room or 630sqft. heres the prices and details for a combo carbon scrubber i can get, which comes with (filter,flange,FAN)..
156CFM+filter+flange = 300
350cfm+filter+flange= $430.
I was initially planning on using a few 20oz paintball CO2 canisters. i was just worried that every week im going to be running to get it refilled...
either that or i make my own slow release co2 method.

Personnally I will go with 350 CFM, the room has 630 cubic feet with the 156 CFM fan it will take about 4 minutes to exhaust the whole room (and I'm not taking any restriction, from the filter, in consideration). The 350 CFM will exhaust the room in 1.8 min, way better.
As for the Co2 it will be hard to keep the Co2 at a good level if you don't have any tools to check the ppm in the air it will be hard. Plus your exhaust running all the time will get this Co2 before it can be used by the plants and I think that the 20oz canister will not be big enough to help in this big room...
With a good air flow you should be all right without having to add any Co2.

i could put the exhaust on timers and have them turn off while i pump the room w/ co2.... when i pump the room full, how long should it sit w/o a fan... or should a fan always be on...
today i went and bought the little 12gram canisters from walmart AND blew 2 of them into my 4x4x7 homebox. i turned the exaust off and the occilating fan off. and it been that way for 2 hours now... got a thermometer and its hold steady at 84* at the top and 83* at the bottom.

You need to leave the fan on all the time as the Co2 is heavier than oxygen and will stay on the floor, the fan will move the air so the plants can use the Co2.

canned the old operation, starting from scratch... im at 1 month with tiny stressed seedlings, im going to do things much different the second time..., by one week the first node should be fully grown and by 3 weeks 8=24inches tall. with a nice fat stem
