Looking for other parents

Hey I'm looking for other parents especially ones with young children or are expecting who practise a more natural parenting lifestyle. Even if your children are grown and gone but you followed the practises. Some call it Attachment parenting but it includes cosleeping, breastfeeding, extended breastfeeding, Natural childbirth, no circ, no vaccinations, herbal home remedies, and pretty much anything earthy and hippi like. Are there any out there? Even if you just practise or would like to practise just one of these. Is there anyone who would like to know more or know what options there are out there?

Please speak up and jump in or ask questions I'd really like to get to know you.

wife is hoping to go natural, hoping she can hold out on the pain til the dr says your past the point of drugs

We have raised our kids with the earth as well.
No Vaccines is not easy in NY. I suggest you get a lawyer if you plan on
skipping out on the vaccines like we did.

There are some really cool holistic remedies out there. One that comes to mind is for teething. I think its put out by Hylands? Its been 10 years since we have had a baby in the house so my mind is a but rusty.

Do not Circ! It really isn't nessesary and the procedure is barbaric.

I myself had a natural pregnancy and birth, cloth diaper, breastfeed for a year, Delayed the introduction of solid food, and when we started solid food K only ate what she could feed herself(self feeding), We also wore her in a baby carrier almost constantly when she was little(never really used a stroller at all), we had a family bed and coslept, we eat as organically as possible, and use natural cleaning products, Oh and we have stopped vaccinating K and don't plan to vaccinate our second, we also avoid medication and doctors whenever we can and search for home and natural remedies(which do work all the time)!

I would love digging up some info to bring back here and start exposing other parents to but if anyone is really interested in getting alot of answers come here

It's a forum that talks about all these things and how to balance it with todays society. The only real rules are to treat everyone with respect and be open, and there is even a private forum that you can eventually be invited to that specifically deals with marijuana and parenting, I'm actually the moderator of this forum.

The tablets are called hylands teething tablets and are good for any time you need to calm your child. The contain a tiny portion of natural ingredients like chamamilla, and dissolve intantly in the mouth and work just as fast.;)

I'm going to try and find some time to get some information for you about Circ, and being this close to the due date Texas I encourage you to check out the pregnancy and birth section in a sticky at the top there are very helpful sites that prepare you for natural child birth and teach you how to remove the tension, which is actually quite often to root of the pain. Childbirth can be an enjoyable experience doctors don't teach us that anymore though.

My child is a teen now, but has been raised on an organic veggie diet.
He did get vaccinated, but we use herbal remedies for whatever possible.
I've taught him to recycle, reduce waste whenever he can, and by leading a holistic, righteous lifestyle he has mimicked us in doing the same.

We never gave him pre-packaged baby foods, and he was breast fed for 10 months. When it was time to stop, I opted for goats milk rather than cows milk for the health benefits (be warned: the kiddies pack on the pounds with goats milk, but in a cute and good way. It's just "baby fat")
And although cloth diapers are messier and gross, you can buy organic cotton biodegradable disposable diapers at most of the larger health food chain stores.
