Outdoors in kentucky? i got 2 seeds germinating right now, and i was wondering if it would be possible for these bad boys to survive the winter outside..if not..im just gonna put them into mini beer steins and let them grow in my windowsill

I don't think they can survive either way without a little help. Aside from the cold the days have gotten too short.
There are lots of threads in the archives that will explain about lighting cycles, and optimum growing temperatures. BTW... beer steins are not a real good idea because there is no drainage, and you can easily have issues with root rot and other plant problems.Quote:

Outdoors is pretty much out of the question. You're going to have to supplement light as well so you might as well just plan on cleaning out a closet 'cause you probably don't want a pot plant with a spotlight shining on it sitting on your window sill.
