First Timer-Wondering about heat..

Hi all new to the boards and i think this site is great cuz i will be starting soon - first timer indoors.

I got a 250w hps and a 3-11" x 3'-11" x 6'-7"H grow closet "Secret Jardine" from BGHydro. Got a 4" centrif. fan and can filter, and a bunch of Canna soil & ferts along with some perlite, vermiculite and even a bag lime just in case pH gets out of wack. Will set up in a small finished room in my basement.

Gonna grow either Dutch Passion Sacra Frasca feminised or Blueberry feminised, i got 10 of each from sensible.

I have an air-cooled sun grow reflector, but rather than exhausting my hot air outside the house, i think i want to reclaim the heat from my lamp to keep the house warm during winter. Anyone done this with ducting/fans/etc? I'm imagining a box built around the can filter (which is about 30" long) to collect the hot filtered air sso i can duct it through the floor and upstairs.
