I'll be the first to admit that I know little of Katie Couric or her journalistic skills. However, interviews are not hard. You answer questions honestly and with information.

She....didn't do anything. Well, except sit there and do her damnedest to not answer questions. One more reason I have no desire to vote for her team.

The straight up BS lie was about the idea that the whole country was looking to McCain for leadership on the financial crisis and no one cares what Obama thinks. What a ding dong. I think Couric set her straight on that one.
The rest was not too bad, definitely not VP caliber, but not as bad as you might fear.
I'm Sorry but this 50 Year old Ex-Streetfreak can come up with better answers than Falin....And Katy Couric Absolutely Beat the Crap outta Falin with Questions that the average 10th Grader would have answers to..........Katy Couric....The "Perkey" Fluffy Morning Person that is the First Thing you see on the Today Show after hittin the bathroom in the mornin........Could one imagine if Falin had to do an interview with a REAL Journalist like Larry King or Lou Dobbs??????

Here is another clip with commentary from NBC. I thought the other clips were not TOO bad (bad, but not disasters), but this one seems idiotic. Putin rears his ugly head and flies into our airspace? Yikes!

Putin is defintiely a ruthless thug with way too much power, but this quote makes it seem like he is a fire-breathing dragon who rears his ugly head and flies over Alaska scorching villages! I can see Palin standing there with a Bible in one hand and the Magical Sword of Freedom in the other, fending off the evil Putin-dragon! "Begone foul beast who rears his ugly head! I am on a mission from God to send you back to your reeking lair!"
But all joking aside, does Palin actually have any responsibility for defending Alaskan airspace from Russia? I'm not sure even what the real point is that she is trying to make here. It's some colorful imagery, but what does it even mean?
