Usually I open my jars two times a day but I will be going to another city on weekends and will leave my jars behind. I cannot take them with me so I'm worried a bit. How should I leave my jars? Open or closed? Will this affect taste and aroma?

hey...
how long have you been curing them for?
are they still very moist and does humidity collect inside the jar when it is closed?
If they are still pretty moist, I would definitely leave the jars open -- better yet i would take the buds out and hang dry them for a while longer (thats me being paranoid)
If they seem dry enough by the time you leave, you should be fine leaving them in the jars.. but it all depends how long you been curing them for already.
good luck
No, I haven't started curing yet. I'm just making plans for future.
Open until they feel dry to the touch, then closed. When you open them, if they feel soft or damp again, leav them open.
Depending on how long you get to burp them before you have to leave, i would leave them open just in case. Rot and mold grows fast. 2 days and you couls ruin the whole crop. And if they get a little too dried out you can always remoist them.
i keep mine nice and dark and cool and just leave them open
Yeah man keep them open for the weekend. They can even regain moisture if they are dry if the jars are big enough. They will take in the moisure from the air in the jars. You dont wanna lose bud to mold, and it can happen real easy. Id leave the cap on top of the jar but pushed aside a bit so some air can get in and out, but not too much.
