I have two 18 gallon rubbermaid containers stacked on top of each other. There are 6 to 8 cfls in there at a time. I have fashioned a carbon filter and a passive intake that will open up when air is being pulled through the box. What about a fan to pull this air? I went to Lowes and they couldn't help me out. I need something almost silent but something that will keep the box cool. I was looking at computer fans but how many cfm fan would I need?
Love to know what you found out as I'm thinking of getting some PC fans for my grow box. Did ya go ahead? how did it turn out?
i have 3 pc fans. I have sum on the side exhausting so that's probably why they arent venting. i say if u had 3 of them they would be alright. they go from 20- 50 cfm seen higher
the pc fans work, but why not get a 6 or 8in inline fan from home depot that flows a WHOLE lot more, their only 30-40bucks and well worth it. Mine is currently cooling a 600w hps and its actually keeping temps down enough that the plants don't mind the heat :)
