Sativa Growing
Hey All !!
I have been growing Indica and hybrids for a little while now, with pretty good success.
I recently decided to try my luck with Sativa.
For starters I am having a hard time germinating the seeds.
With my Indica or hybrids I have a good success rate regardless if technique, PaperTowel / Direct Soil.
I am still working this problem out http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-pro...rmination.html.
Basicly I need to know if Sativa has special needs? Or should I just treat them as I do my Northern Lights, Real McCoy, and Pez?
The new strains I am trying are,
Nirvana Seeds, Traveling Thai
Ministry of Cannabis, African Spirit
Sam the Skunkman's, Original Haze X Skunk 1
Any and all information will be happily recieved.
Growing Info or just some input on these strains.
Thank you for your Input!!!

Sativa Growing
I grow Swazi Skunk, and some Potent Purple. Both are heavily sativa strains. Not sure if the African Spirit is a Swazi hybrid, but Swazi is from Africa. Swazi x Inca Spirit maybe...? Perhaps it's just 'guilt by association', tho, lol.
They'll stretch a bit more in flower. I compensate for this by transplanting to it's final pot about two weeks before switching to 12/12. (my soil is pretty 'hot', so I want the nitrogen to be used-up as much as possible before she starts flowering) I start them on Bloom nutes from that point forward.
You can also start them on 12/12 lighting a bit earlier to control the stretch, but it seems to take forever for them to start flowering.
I use the same nutes for all of my ladies...nothing different because of strain. Works fine for me.

Sativa Growing
I grow Pure Power Plant which is a South African sat that behaves like an indi.
A trick to control stretch is keep them under the HALIDE the first 2-3 weeks of flower on 12/12, and THEN after stretch swap out for your HPS. Also, keep the difference between night and day less than 15, preferably less than 10' F.
That being said, PPP doesn't give me troubles.
For a lot of other sats... haha better you than me! :D (I don't have space or patience)

Sativa Growing
Thank You Rusty Trichome and stinkyattic
You 2 always have some really good input.
My StrawberryLights are looking good.
An accident when I ended up with a male clone of a Strawberry Cough.
I thought I got rid of it before it produced pollen but the Northern Lights it was next to had 2 seeds. Both germinated.
Sexed out 1 so far a female the other isn't showing yet.
The NL mother is an excellent plant and the SC father was very healthy.
Curious to see what the combo will bring.
One plant looks like an indica and the other more sativa.
Thank You for your input.
