High-tech kegs!!

Cincinnati, OH--Beer kegs are becoming a prime target for thieves. But itâ??s not the brew the crooks are after.

Itâ??s the stainless steel kegs that can be traded in for cash.

â??Itâ??s atrocious. If you donâ??t keep your kegs under lock and key they will take them a in a heartbeat. â??

Beer keg thefts have increased so much, beer distributors are now putting G-P-S tracking devices on the kegs.

The trend comes as the price for stainless scrap keeps rising.

The price has nearly doubled in the last five years, making an 18-pound keg worth more than 35-dollars to would be thieves.

There been a shit load of drain covers getting stolen in the uk recently to be sold for scrap.. Same with copper, old house and old high rased block are getting ripped apart for the copper pipes and the copper from the wiring..
