First Grow (Small Indoor CFL)
First of all, I would love suggestions/tips/comments etc., my grow is very amateur and I definitely didn't research enough before starting in my endeavor.
Space: I'm growing in my decent sized closet (2ftx5ft), using a hepa air filter I got from my brother, it's doing the job atm. I was going for low cost when I set it up, spent about $65 w/o including soil and whatnot. It's basically a piece of wood (2x2) with half-wide cmu's holding up another piece of wood with 6 fixtures I rigged to it. I have the sides of of the box covered with white pieces of poster board. I'm using the space right now for both veg and flowering, switching out diff. color CFLs, but next grow I'm probably just going to use it to veg and hope to get a HPS and setup another space.
Lights: Right now I have 6 32w 6900K CFLs (in the pictures I have a seventh one I'm experimenting with), and will probably switch to the 2700K CFLs once I make clones. The lights are about 40" from the bottom of the box, they were at 32" but the plants grew to the top of the box and were getting burnt (hence the mt. dew bottles). I'm thinking that the lights are too high for their output.
Other stuff: I haven't added any nutes to them as I haven't researched it :(, the soil is fertilized miracle grow, and um.. I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about/working with them, mostly because school started a few weeks ago and I've been busy.
-few notes: the pots are too big for the spot, next time I will get slightly smaller pots and hopefully put 4 plants in.
-they all look very different cause I was doing some experiments on diff. soil and whatnot when they were little, also, the lady in the front looks like an indica while the other two look like sativas.
I have more stuff to say but can't think of it.. too much stoned :rastasmoke:
And my camera also happens to be my phone, sorry for crappy looking pictures.

-As complete a view I could get of the whole thing

-This plant just doesnt' look good, it's tall with few leaves, there's sorta a good reason it looks like this, but it's not worth explaining.

-This plant had a rough start as a seedling, but it's looking much much better than it was. I took this picture of the top half to point out how it's like grown the 5" or so but there's only a few shoots from the main stem. I added my desk lamp in there with another 32w CFL to see if it won't maybe produce a couple shoots.

-This pic is to show how this plant was getting burnt by the lights, it's the best looking plant and is def. an indica.

-last pic, trying to show the diff. in lighting from bottom to top, plus it's sorta a picture of my last plant and I don't have a good one of her up here
Btw, they are ~7 weeks old from when I first planted the germ'd seeds. I dunno if that's super slow cause I had really poor lighting for the first 3 weeks or so (before I built this box) and the lightning now I'm not completely sure about.
Anywho, thanks for takin a look :smokin:

Good luck and welcome buddy.
You will unfortunatelly need some nutes or problems will get worse with that plant and eventually the other as well.
About lights you should move them often and in small steps so they are as close as possible all the time without burning the plants. Light decrease exponentially which means that if you double the range to the bulbs the light decrease 4 times, so small steps and many of them.
Other than that good luck man and do keep your babies secret.

I posted they were 32w cfl, but they're actually 26w. That said, I replaced two of the 26w with 40w and put the other 26w in household light places :D.
Watered with some 8-7-6 miracle gro fertilizer (couldn't find 5-20-20 and this seemed the only thing close that I could find in my small town) and started something similar to lst; bent plants down so I could move the lights closer.

Hey thunder....
I think your gonna need to order some nute online......i think the nutes you are using arent going to good for blooming.....the your going to want something with a high p-k ratio to N.....Keep looking....im sure you can find some nutes for tomatoes at HD or Loews....good luck....im enjoying the show so far!

I hadn't used any until nutes until yesterday, though I do plan on ordering quality nutes. Bat guano is what the todd mccormick guide says to use for flowering and I think it's like 5-20-20.
Anywho, thanks :)
