Mega question

I might be able to get a HPS kit at a reasonable price. Agreed I'll need to get a timer for 12/12; however...I've determined my lumens requirements for optimal yield to be 15,500 for my grow space (approx 1.63' X 1.88'); a 150 watt HPS is rated at around 14,000 lumens (maybe a bit more) so...

What kind of a yield would I expect with the 15 Watt HPS? I've currently reached my 15,500 rance with the current CFL's but I've read penetration is better with HPS...

Should I go for it or stick with status quo?

Yeild is not specific to lighting, are you talking comparitive?

As in, if you kept all of your other shit the same, and you only changed the lighting, how much comparable yield will you get with the HPS vs. the CFL?

Maximum yield is a function of available light, when there are no other limiting factors.

Between 14k and 15k lumens in the same setup, you won't see a difference, especially as a newer grower. Your goal as the grower is now to give the plants the OTHER stuff they need, like stable temps and GREAT ventilation.
