Are these pre-flowers?/When to flower?

My plants are exactly 13 days old (sprouted on 08-02-2008). The first picture is of them in my ghetto grow box, the second two are of the plant on the left in the first picture. I was wandering, are these pre-flowers? Also, can you tell if they are male or female yet? The one on the right has them too, but about half the size. And, how long should I wait until I start flowering? I really don't have much room in my grow box, and it's August right now, so if I started the cycle and it got too big, would it be ok if I moved them outside during this time of year? :) thanks for any help

You won't see pre-flowers for a long time on those plants. Once they get a little older you can put them on 12/12 and in a week or two you should see pre-flowers. There are plenty of pictures online if you google "sexing cannabis" or "male female cannabis". Once the flowering stage is going you will easily be able to tell if it is male or female, don't worry about that.

If you put those plants outside now you will get very, very little harvest from any females. It is way too late. You should just grow those indoors until they are half as big as you want them to be when they finish, then put them on 12/12 (they could as much as double in size while flowering).

The plants have to mature first.
