Possible drug test tomorrow! I need advice!

I have read up on all of this, but I am still worried because some people say something works & others say that it doesn't...I smoked a blunt last night & have probably smoked about 3-4 times in the past month. I am 5'7, female, & about 150lbs....I don't really have a metabolism either, lol. Anyways, I had an interview in a week, but they changed it to tomorrow. If I am offered the job, how long would it be until I have to take the drug test? My mom's friend is interviewing me, so there is a good chance that I will get the job, so could they do it tomorrow or would it take time to process the paperwork & all? I really need this job because I am tired of being so broke! haha. I chose to major in psychology & I am having no luck finding a job within my field after graduation & after six months of looking, this position finally opened up, lol. Anyways, since she called me a few hours ago, I have been freaking out because I did not realize that it would be this soon! I have drank about a half of gallon of water so far. I bought cranberry pills because my friend said that her army recruiter told her that no matter how much she smoked, cranberry pills would get it out within 3 days...and she passed (she smoked a lot, too). I have read that cranberry juice helps as well as niacin...I bought niacin but I am a little skeptical to take it since I read that it makes you itch/burn & doesn't work (but others say that it does, so I am not sure)...Also, I don't have the money to buy the B12 vitamins recommended on the dilution page..so would pickle juice work? What about aspirin? Sorry that this is so long! I am ready to get this over with so I can smoke a blunt! :rastasmoke:

Here's what I know. I've been schooled a bit more about lab testing this year. Niacin is pretty much folklore, from what they taught us. And cranberry tablets do nothing but make your urine more acidic. They do nothing to remove cannabis metabolites. Drinking lots of water doesn't help, either. Some people believe high fiber helps to clear the metabolites out of the bowel, but I am very skeptical about that improving people's chances on urine tests because metabolites settle where they settle, and the digestive system isn't the same thing as the urinary system. You can try eating a lot of bran cereal between now and the interview and test, though, if you want. It'd certainly be better than pickle juice or aspirin, which won't do a thing.

There's no way anyone can look into a crystal ball and tell you when you'll be drug tested. Do you know what sort of test you'll undergo? Blood? Urine? Hair? Saliva?


The standard answer that FBR typically gives to people who absolutely, positively must pass drug tests is to use substitution with clean urine if it's a urine test. If it's a hair test, you're likely up a creek. Different people with different sized bodies and metabolic rates clear the metabolites at different rates, and they take a while to be detectable in the first place. If you've smoked at the rate you cited above, you may well test clean anyway if you've been a light smoker and if last night's blunt hasn't become detectable yet. It won't have anything to do with the fact that you've drunk water or thought good thoughts or anything else--everyone always has some technique to attribute clean tests to, but more often than not it's simply because they didn't have detectable levels. It'll simply be because you have been an occasional enough smoker that you don't test positive.

I know this isn't the magic answer you wanted. It rarely is. There really is no magic guaranteed-success answer other than substitution, I'm afraid, and that's tricky in itself.

Drinking lots of liquid in the days before the test does nothing but hydrate your body... it does not help to rid the body of thc stored in your fat.

A one-time high (on a thc free body) takes around 3-5 days to become clean, but I don't know how clean you were when you smoked last night, since you say you smoked 3-4 bowls during the last month. You will become clean faster than us daily smokers.

Employers vary on their drug testing. I was given a hire date and then the paperwork and told to go to the lab for drug testing. I knew I had to have the drug test completed before I started work, but some give restrictions on when to go to the lab (like same day) or have their appts made for them. Some employers test on the spot, with a drug testing kit similiar to the ones that we can buy at the stores.

The B2 or BComplex vitamins are for coloring your urine yellow when you have diluted so much that your urine is clear. The aspirin is an old way to foil an older test, so you really only need to take it the day of the test and there are conflicting results whether or not it is still effective (but whats the harm?).

I would tell you to buy some thc home tests, but you already say you can't afford the vitamins (a couple of bucks). I got my thc tests online (for under $2 a piece) but do you have time for that? The tests in the stores are at least $10 (my headshop sells the same kit I bought online for $10) Walgreens and Walmart's test are $15+. These tests will tell you whether or not you need to dilute or whether substitution is the only way to pass within the next couple of days.

About 20 years ago I used pickle juice to pass a drugtest. Not sure if it was the pickle juice or just the dilution (I would think the latter)... but 20 years is a long time to update the technology, I wouldn't trust it (but it did bring back memories!)

I got the job & the test is tomorrow! I did buy the vitamins & all, but I believe that I am going to try to substitute instead-A friend said that they watched her, but I don't think that they are able to do this. Just in case, I am also going to use the dilution method as a back up! Thanks everyone for the info!
