Do you find you get a better high smoking after drinking or smoking by itself?

I used to always want to get a good drunk buzz before smoking and felt that it enhanced my high and made smoking much more exciting, but recently I feel like drinking beforehand makes my high less cerebral as I am sort of tired and it fogs my mind. How about you?
