My only surviving plant looks like it might me male, can i get any use out of it?

Hi all

The title says it all. I am growing it under a cheap eBay LED panel and 2x 20w energy saver flourescent bulbs.

The growth is a bit slow but it seems to be OK, i have a HPS ballast etc but no bulb and I cant afford one at the moment. (btw if any1 knows of a cheap UK outlet please tell me)

This is my 1st full grow so I may need more help. It is 5 weeks old, has 3 layers in total (i cant get a pic coz i dnt have a camera) and from soil to tip is approx 6 inches, i had to cut of a couple of leaves from the bottom coz they went yellow (i think i put them too near the bulb)

Anyway, i think that it might be male and wanna know if there is any uses for it ( such as oil or seeds or something) or should i just chuck it out

Sounds like its too young yet to determine sex. If its male you could always turn it into honey oil.

btw, the plant is about 5weeks + old. It is KC 36. How long should i leave it on 24 hour light?

Some males are fairly "frosty" and in spite of what some folks say, they DO produce THC- but usually less than the females of the same strain! By automatically tossing all males, we may be "throwing the baby out with the bath water!" And yes, you can smoke them!

Now if you get a rare frosty male, save the pollen for your next grow and smoke that baby! :thumbsup: I know the connoisseurs are going to hassle me about that, but THC is THC whether from a male or female!

If it's so-so, which is the most likely, you can still smoke it in a pinch, or use it in blunts. Or cook with it, or make BHO or something.

If it's hemp :( - Save it in pre-rolled as joints for when your moocher friend (we all got one :cool: ) comes over and begs a joint as he leaves. He leaves happy and you still have your bud! Or put it in your blunts, or in joints when you are running low- safer than tobacco!

At the worst, it was a good growing experience. Now you can move on to grow some females! Good luck! - Granny:hippy:
