Second Plant in flowering stage to act up on me!!! What's my problem???
Last time I posted about a plant (http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-pro...ml#post1889677)
Well she ended up dying. Now I have the same issue but have adjusted Ph to 5.8-6.2 and new hydroponic system "The General Hydroponics WATERFARM®" ppm is 1500 everything else is the same...
Well I checked the new effing plant and she was showing signs of root rot (due to bad water, it hadn't been changed in a while) like the last one shes got a purple stem and leaves are yellow on the outsides and green in the veins. so I pulled the plant from the WATERFARM® and trimmed the dying roots. I just can't seem to be getting the thing to thrive like the rest of you guys. I mean the thing is an effing weed they grow everywhere why the hell can't I grow one!
The other plants that aren't under the HPS are doing great! I feel like the HPS is killing them I don't know if thats possible though.
Another thing they are all in 4"x4" rockwool cubes is that ok for the water farm?
I have pictures is the sick one and the healthy one for you to examine
SIDE NOTE Next clone in line for flowering room is starting to bud wtf?!?! It's under 18/6 in veg room I don't get it

Here are my plants "stats"
clone is in 4"x"4 Rockwool cube
Growing in a General Hydroponics waterfarm constant drip system
I use advance nutrients 2 part sensi-grow for veg and 2 part sensi-bloom for flower
i stay around 1400-1600ppm
water changed once weekly
Ph 5.8-6.2
Temp is 21c - 22c constant
light is a 400w HPS globe, hood, and ballast (with option for MH globe)

Your 4x4 rockwool is must likely staying too wet with 24/0 constant drip. Causing root rot.

Heres the thing with the constant drip. All it does is drip very slowly WeedHound has the same setup and is very successful. The Veg room has a timer that runs around 8 times a day 30min each time so it is getting nearly the same amount of water as the flower room. Plus I heard that when flowering that the plants use more water and nutes due to the heat and energy used to flower

Harrison, I have 4 water farms running and I must tell you that you should only have to run your drip rings for 15 mins on every hour. Make sure you have an airstone in your reservoir to keeps those roots oxygenated and keeps your nutes mixed. I also know that using rock wool tends to stay too wet and can cause root rot. I know that if you have an airstone in the reservoir running 24/7, you can pretty much completely avoid root rot. I have always used rapid rooter plugs and hydroton with small 3 inch baskets... that way I just move the baskets to the waterfarms when ready. I also use the baskets for my seedlings when they are ready for transfer to the farms. Good luck!

... also... you don't want that rockwool to stay super wet .. give it some chance to dry up a lil which will happen with 15 mins per hour of drip feed. Your feed schedule seems fine. I usually do weekly changes to get rid of any plant waste and to provide fresh nutes as well. :)

One thing to consider......I don't use Rockwool.....I dont like it. I use rapid rooters and higromite rocks and like Harrison says I run the drip 24/7.....always.

And Harrison.... I'd never let my plants sit n the same water for one week.
I check ph and ppm twice daily and make any needed adjustments I change at LEAST 1/3 of the rez out every second or third day. I don't get my plants to 1600 until about day 21 of flowering and I watch that number like a HAWK to make sure the plants are handling it well and don't burn.

Yeah actually 1600 ppm may be a little high. Depends on what mix of nutrients? Is is just a 2 part? 2 part plus calmag? Full line of nutes? So just the numbers don't really tell anything.
How long has it been in flower for so far? Also, how are you maintaining the ppm level? And, what do you mean by signs of root rot. Purple stem and yellow leaves are not a sign of root rot. They can be a sign of a deficiency and that may be related to root rot, but they are not a direct sign of root rot. A sign of root rot is a heavy mucuous like coating all over the roots.
Some dying roots is natural and cutting them is just fine. Finally, your veg plant is not budding, rather it's gotten to sexual maturity which is common on an extended veg. Some people don't flower until they see those beginning signs.
Just keep your water temperature down, light out and add some Hydrozyme (am I right about the name? I don't use it but a lot of people do). And answer some of the other questions and we'll see if we can fix up those plants.
