I wanna be a caregiver, do I need any other papers other then their prescriptions?

I wanna be as legal as possible cud sum1 explain the steps to me?
the doctor I see said he cud give me the care givers papers for $50 but come on! $50 for a paper that I cud probably download free from somewhere but I need help!!

No, a copy of the other patients Doctor Recommendation should be enough. I have been instructed that it is legally safer to call yourselves a co-op instead of a caregiver. The reason is that to be a "caregiver" has a different definition depending upon where you are located (county by county). Also there are specifics and if you overlook one of them, or it can be proven that you did not perform a certain task, this can be used against you in the court of law.

This is how it was explained to me...far from solid facts, but sounded believable and intelligent

thanks thats what I thought too but now I'm hearing about this paper that you have to have people fill out and sign? I mean damn who could keep up with all this shit if it keeps changing?!

I dont really know...i think the reason it is always changing is to create slip ups by those of us trying our best to follow the law. As they say, "ignorance of the law, is not a defense":(

So, In order to be a caregiver in washington, you need a copy of the patients doctors recommendation AND a signed piece of paper (nothing official that i have found anywhere) stating that YOU are the caregiver.

I always thought you had to be a MMJ patient with a doctors note (which allows a small legal garden) and you can be a care giver for 1 person through your excess but its given not sold to the receiving individual

My wife recently became a MMJ patient due to her Lupus..... we provide for 1 person outside of ourselves (but thats my business not LEOs)
