light movers, lumens, watts, and coverage

A few questions comparing two hypothetical setups...

Setup 1) A 1000 Watt, air cooled, on a light mover.
Setup 2) Two 600 Watt, air cooled, stationary.

Light mover benefit- gets light to areas that stationary lights just can't.
two 600 Watt benefit- better lumens per watt.

question 1) Which setup delivers the most lumens per sq/ft in a 7'LX5'W box?
question 2) Which setup could get closer to the plants? (I ask this because both setups are air cooled and setup1 is on a light mover and I hear that allows an air cooled even closer...)
question 3) Can and how do you have an air cooled setup on a light mover.
question 4) Is there a bad side the a light mover since while it is on one side of the garden it is, at that time, not lighting the other side.
question 5) Does using glass on an air cooled lamp help cooling or will it cool all the same due to the suction?
question 6) Does one also need a separate exhaust if air cooled lamps are used? (5'WX7'L room)
question 7) What are some options of cooling intake air if it is drawn from outside and the ambient temperature is 80 F or higher? Will the air flow be efficient or somehow affix a cooling device?

Answer any and all you are able. These are all questions that I have come to ask while looking around this site especially in posts comparing 1000W lumens and 600W lumens. I appreciate the help and insight and hope you enjoy the questions.

3) Use flexable ducting, long enough to reach max travel, and a bungee cord to support the middle when slack.
4) The down side is the hassle, appearence etc of #3. Plants will be fine.
5) you need the glass.
6) yes, you still need to provide circulation and exhaust.
7) 80F or even higher will cool down a HPS (they run in the hundreds)

IMO your best bet here is 2 600w HPS fixed, air-cooled, with an exhaust fan and proper ventilation. Hypothetically.

so you're saying that if I wanted an exhaust, around a 500cfm would be appropriate from what I've read, for the two 600 Watt I should also have a separate 500cfm exhaust across the room from the intake?

hi all hows it going need a bit of advice if any1 could help me out just bought myself a ten pot wilma hydro system 600w lamp ect just germinated 5 big bang seeds and have transfered them into rockwool cubes in a propagotor now the part im stuck at is do they now need light or just darkness and heat till it works its way out of the rockwool or do i put the 125 eco watt bulb lamp straight onto it?? any advice would be great thanks...

If you do not have room for bungee cords you can also make a setup using a setup like a shower curtain rod. The flex tubing will act like an accordian if you use enough hangers.
The advantage is won't get as much droop which might block light from adjacent lights.

I run my light cooling system, charcoal filter and room exhaust fans all on the same line. During the summer I vent to attic, during cold days in winter I vent to interior rooms and save on heating bill. I heard about one guy who used ducted heat from lamps to help heat his swimming pool.
