need some advice (on probation)
Hey all,
I've been on probation for about 8 months now and have 4 more to go. I quit smoking for the first 2 months but then realized that i could still smoke and pass my UA's. I have DT's once every 3 weeks not random, i know when they are coming. I usually smoke for about a week straight and give myself like 14-10 days to get clean. One time i only gave myself 7 days and was nervous and drank to much water and got a dilute, so i had to go back the next day to re-test. When i went back i just did a lighter dilution and i passed. after that i have been good about giving myself at least 10 days. But this time I have only given myself 7 days and smoked for 2 weeks, quite a lot. Knowing that i have already passed one time with only 7 days clean, I more confident about passing this one. I am working out everyday during these last 7 days except for 48 hours before the test. I am eating high fiber and taking metamucil, along with niacon, b-complex, one-a-day, cranberry and green tea pills. obviously I have taken every last precaution, this is my freedom we are talking about. I am 6'1 and like 180 i have a pretty good metabolism (it has worked for me so far).
I really just want to ask if there are any suggestions about what i can do to help get clean, i have 5 more days till the test and have home tests and am keeping myself hydrated. I think i have all the bases covered just want some more advice.

Since, as you stated, this is about your freedom, there is one precaution you can take that will work - abstain while you're on probation. On probation I have to believe that they could hit you with a surprize test. Four months isn't a long time. I've got about 4 years to go on my job where I'm subject to random tests. I'm abstaining until then. When I'm retired I'll do what I want.

I say keep smoking. Theres no better way to stay clean then getting locked up again. Ask anybody who dropped dirty for a probation test...Oh wait, You can't, THERE ALL IN JAIL!!!! You went from smoking every 10 days to 7 days and next time You'll ask about 3 days. Theres a name for that, It's called Russian roulette. Say hi to big Bubba for me
