Instant Messaging / e-mail question
Why are we allowed to post an instant messaging name (for AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, Skype) but not our e-mail address?
AIM didn't used have email, but now it includes it. Yahoo messenger doubles for email too if it's the same as the original account name, not an alias. I don't know anything about MSN but it's possible some IM contacts would be the same for the email.

We're NOT allowed to post this type of material:
-- No Posts containing email addresses and/or the like
Ya know, this bi-weekly piss and moan about the guidelines in here is getting old. I KNOW that you know how to e-mail a moderator in here so in the future please approach your "issues" in that manner.
Oh yeah, the "Report Post" feature is at the top right of the post in question....please use that in the future also.
Have a good one!

I feel that I really should address this as well. You DO know how to email mod staff, and I have asked you already at least twice, formally, to please approach these types of questions in private, as your constant questioning of forum rules is starting to wear on myself and other mods. I feel that I'm generally on the soft side, and did you a HUGE favor going to bat for you recently, asking only that you simply use common sense in regards to the forum rules, just like everyone else, and not require constant clarification.
I'm starting to regret that, as you have now put me in a rather awkward position.
On the record:
THERE IS NO POSTING OF ANY TYPE OF CONTACT INFORMATION, INCLUDING MESSENGER HANDLES, IN OPEN FORUM!!!!
THERE IS NO POSTING OF PERSONAL EMAIL ADDYS OR PHONE NUMBERS IN ANY FORM ANYWHERE IN YOUR PROFILE OR SIGNATURE EITHER!!!!
If we cannot all understand this, perhaps a social messageboard is more appropriate?
CLOSED.
